A physical welcome at the Maison universitaire internationale
The International University House (Maison universitaire internationale – MUI) is a service and support centre for international students and researchers of the University of Strasbourg. It centralises services designed to facilitate their settlement and integration in Strasbourg. It reflects the commitment of the university and its partners to providing a smooth onboarding experience.
What services does the MUI offer?
The MUI comprises the following:
- Three departments of the International Relations Office (Direction des relations internationales – DRI) that facilitate your administrative procedures and provide you with support when moving within and outside Europe, and with resources, activities and advice to make the most of your experience
- A EURAXESS Support Centre, which supports the research projects of international researchers and doctoral students and facilitates their settlement in Strasbourg
- The European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) Eucor – The European Campus, which promotes and coordinates exchanges between five universities in Alsace, Germany and Switzerland
The MUI has over 100 lodgings, allocated as a priority to international students.

The "Bienvenue en France" label
The national agency Campus France awards the "Bienvenue en France" label to tertiary education establishments that make a firm commitment to improving its services for international students. This label guarantees that international students are provided with the best possible conditions.
In 2019, the University of Strasbourg was awarded the level 3 “Bienvenue en France” label, the highest level of accreditation.
